Tigers are members of the Big cat family, just like Lions and Cougars. There are five subspecies of tiger: the Siberian or Amur tiger, the Sumatran tiger, the South China tiger, the Indo-Chinese Tiger, and the Bengal or Indian tiger. In World of Zoo, you can only make a Bengal tiger. Tigers are known to be man-eaters. All tiger subspecies live on the continent of Asia. In the wild, tigers eat animals like deer, water buffalo, and wild pigs. Tiger cubs stay with their mother until they are around 18 months of age. More female cubs survive to adulthood than males. Tigers are an endangered species. They are endangered because of loss of habitat and hunting for the Chinese medicine trade. Three subspecies of tiger are extinct: the Caspian tiger, the Bali tiger, and the Javan tiger. The most numerous subspecies of tiger is the Bengal tiger. The least numerous is the South China tiger, it is extinct in the wild. The Siberian tiger is the largest cat in the world. Tigers breed well in Captivity.
